Comment:This collection contains about a dozen fair specimens of Unispirifer, six fragmentary specimens of a smooth brachiopod - perhaps Actinoconchus, indeterminate echinoderm debris and fenestrate bryozoans, a small fragment of a horn coral, a loxonematid gastropod steinkern, and a small bellerophontid gastropod. This assemblage is charateristic of shaley facies in the lower Washsmuth as well as the upper Kayak Shale. The age is early Mississippian, somewhere around Mamet foram zone 8.
