Samples were originally sent to Jack Wolfe who reported that (quote) of the samples submitted, only 74 ACd 17 (D4733) contains determinable palynomorphs (end quote). This sample, because he considered it to be of possible Cretaceous age, was sent to me.

Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
Most of the surrounding low-land areas are covered with glacial drift, but rocks forming this small outcrop are thought to be similar to those seen on the Bristol Bay coast approx. 16 to 20 km south as represented in samples 74ACd 15 and 74ACd 14/74AHr 20. Age and pollen correlation (if any) data are required for completion of the Goodnews (A-3) quad. and will also be used in completing the adjacent Nushagak Bay (1:250,000) quadrangel.
