60AHr13 , Unalakleet , On the west bank of Yukon River, opposite the downstream end of Fox Point Island, about one mile north of the southern edge of the Unalakleet quadrangle map. A bed of coal 6 to 7 feet thick crops out on the river bank. The coal contains lenses of greenish tuff and thin beds of tuff lie below and above the coal. the tuff contains carbonized plant fragments. The coal and tuff are interbedded with basalt flows.
