Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
This wood was buried in 20 feet of gravel, sand and silt in a Late Pleistocene stream terrace. We want to obtain a Carbon-14 analysis on it, and want to know what kind of wood. There are no trees growing in area at present.

66AMg-300 , Sagavanirktok , Sandy terrace gravel. Gravel 1/2 to 6" in diameter. Matrix mostly black silt. Buried approximately 20 feet below surface. Along small stream 4 miles east of Toolik River, T. 2 N., R. 13 E., sec. 22. Umiat Meridian. 2.4 miles S. 15 deg. W. of VABM SUSSIE. 69 deg. 31'N., 148 deg. 52'W.
