This report deals with one specimen of unsilicified wood from your field locality 70ADt-275, from a tributary of Niguanak River, 17.2 miles S53W of Humphrey Point, Beaufort Sea; Range 36E., on Township line between 5N. and 6N.

Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
We are having C-14 analysis made on this wood, and need to know what kind of wood is represented. There are no trees in area now, and the wood is probably from Early Holocene Warm Interval about 8,500 years age. Send the wood to Meyer Rubin and the identification results to me.
