Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
We need stratigraphic control. Some samples are from previously unmapped areas; others are from beds previously mapped as the Nation River Formation (Penn.?) and an unnamed lower Mississippian (?) shale unit. Sample B1231 contains the best fossil ever collected from the Nation River Fm., and may be helpful in accurately dating this important unit.
