This report deals with three samples as follows:

70APa 60b , St Lawrence , Lat. 60 deg. 20' N., long. 171 deg. 23' W., on coast 2.5 mi. NW of Southwest Cape. Slate and tuffs which appear to be interlayered with gabbro and diabase sills. Gabbro tentatively dated as Permian by K-Ar.
70APa 32 , St Lawrence , Lat. 63 deg. 35' N., long. 171 deg. 30' W. From an undated sequence of quartzites and shales that appear to overlie Mississippian carbonates and underlie Cretaceous volcanics.
70APa 133 (Paleobot loc. No. D-4695) , St Lawrence , Lat. 63 deg. 12' N., long. 169 deg. 28' W., on Maknek River 5.5 miles above mouth. Our Paleobot Locality No. D-4695. Coaly beds which appear to be part of a Devonian carbonate sequence but could be a down-faulted block of much younger material.
