This report covers 9 collections from Mississippian rocks on eastern St. Lawrence Island. All the fossils that suggest more refined dating of the strata indicate a Late Mississippian age (Meramec to early Chester equivalents). Three of the collections are from the measured section on a tributary of the Ongoveyuk River. Fourteen more samples from this sequence, as well as part of the matrix from each of the nine samples reported on here, have been sent to A.K. Armstrong for examination to see if any diagnostic endothyroid foraminifera are present. The corals in this shipment were identified by Sando, the other fossils by Dutro.
