Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
These fossils are from a volcaniclastic unit that lies above a series of thick andesitic flows and fragmental rocks (Tetelna Fm?) and below the Mankomen Fm? in the eastern part of the Alaska Range. Their stratigraphic position is shown on the column on page 2. Other numbers on the column refer to fossils submitted earlier this year (67-A-13) from the area immediately to the east and northeast.

In 1966, prior to my return to the Survey, Ron Petocz, graduate student at the University of Alaska, identified Schwagerina, Pseudofusulinela, and Monodiexodina from the same fossil locality and assigned an age of late Wolfcamp-early Leonard. The enclosed megafossils have never been examined, but in light of the fusulined data I feel they may be valuable for cross-checking between the 2 faunal groups.
