Stratigraphic range: Permian
Kinds of fossils: Brachiopods
Quadrangle or area: Sagavanirktok - Phillip Smith Mtns.
Shipment No.: A-72-16
Referred by: Detterman, Robert L.
Report prepared by: Dutro, J. Thomas, Jr.
Date: 09/18/1972

This report deals with 5 collections from the Flood Creek section. They are important as potential ties to the Permian sequence in the Porcupine Lake area. Analysis of the latter material, later in the fall, may aid in evaluating the lower faunules in this section. They all appear to be of Permian age, however. The collections are being retained.

Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
We reworked the Flood Creek Sadlerochit section and obtained many more fossil collections from the Echooka part. These are the southernmost fossils in the area and may be somewhat older than most of the Echooka in northeastern Alaska.
