Stratigraphic range: Miocene
Kinds of fossils: mollusks, echinoid
Quadrangle or area: Bering Glacier and Mt. Fairweather quads., Gulf of Alaska
Shipment No.: O-69-7M
Referred by: Sonneman, Howard
Report prepared by: Addicott, Warren O.
Date: 03/10/1969

This report deals with four collections of middle Tertiary mollusks from the Poul Creek and Yakataga Formations of the Gulf of Alaska Tertiary Province. Included with the megafossil shipment were four rock samples, possibly collected for microfossil analysis - SH68-20, SH68-38, CY68-32, and FG68-3. These, and an unlabeled bag containing mollusk-bearing samples, FG68-M5, was not included on the list of fossil locality descriptions. It would be appreciated if the locality data for this collection could be forwarded to Menlo Park so that it can be assigned a permanent localtiy number. It would also be helpful if the latitude and longitude coordinates for the other three collections could be rechecked. One, SH68-23-38, plots about 20-25 miles ENE of Cape Suckling ranther than "about 5 1/2 miles NE of Cape Suckling."
