Twenty-six of the 62 samples were barren; I suppose this is to be expected when your down to rocks of last resort.

90AD23A , Chandalar , Medium-gray-weathering, dolomitic metalimestone forming undulatory, tan- and dark-gray-mottled, 1-3 cm-thick layers. Tan layers are more argillaceous and dolomitic, and contain "amphiporoid" and locally stick stromatoporoid and/or coral? fossil debris. Gray layers locally contain white, sparry calcite (crinoids??). Collected near top? of "Skajit" Fm., which is in fault contact with "purple and green" unit, at approximately 5300 ft. elevation, 0.75 mile south (and slightly west) of peak 6010 ft. on north-trending ridge, 1.25 miles west of Nutirwik Creek, and 4 miles east of Dietrich River; SW1/4 sec. 30, T. 36 N., R. 9 W., lat. 67 deg. 54.6 min., long. 149 deg. 40.9 min., Chandalar D-6 quadrangle. Submitted as Devonian "Skajit" Fm.
90AD26B (10834-CO) , Chandalar , Brown-weathering, black, very fine grained, platey, phyllitic dolostone.
