This report covers several lots of Buchias collected by I. L. Tailleur and T. J. Miller from the Nuka River area, Northern Alaska. These collections are valuable because they shed light on the age of some of the species of Buchias due to the mutual occurrence of several forms. In particular, B. "sublaevis" (Imlay) can be accepted as a guide to the Valanginian because of its occurrence with B. crassicollis. The presence of Valanginian species in cyclically bedded "Turbidite" beds of the Okpikruak type (Loc. 64AMn250) proves that this type of sedimentation is not restricted to the Berriasian stage.
