64AMm54F (Mesozoic loc. M2439) , Hughes , North-central Alaska, Hughes 1:250,000 quad. Four miles SW of Hughes, 2 miles W. of Koyukuk River. Specimens from medium dark brown to grayish-green fine-grained to medium-grained fossiliferous tuffs. These tuffs are from the same belt of volcanics and interbedded impure limestone of Neocomian age as the collections made by Patton in 1953 4 miles below Hughes on the Koyukuk River. Loc. 53APa 422 (Mes. loc. 24685) and by Patton in 1963 12 miles west of here at the Bates VABM in the Melozitna quad - 63APa 214 (P&S No. M2075).
