Comment: | Heintzella has a good geologic range from Pennsylvanian to Lower Permian. The corals in this collection are similar to Corwenia jagoensis Armstrong (1972, PP 747), which is now referred to Heintzella on the advice of J. Fedorowski. H. jagoensis occurs in beds of Pennsylvanian (Atokan) age in the Wahoo Limestone of the eastern Brooks Range. Fusulinids noted in the matrix of these samples may provide a more precise age determination. |
