Comment:You are correct in identifying these poorly preserved pelecypod fragments as Monotis, though the species is probably indeterminate. For the record, they can be referred to Monotis sp. of middle or late Norian age, and the enclosing rocks are therefore correlative with the "chert member" of the Shublik Formation.
