Age: Pleistocene
Formation: Gubik Formation
Comment:Foram Number 4320
This assemblage does not fit the faunal pattern commonly associated with the late Pleistocene of the North Slope. The abundance of Elphidium asklundi suggests an age of late Sangamon – early Wisconsin. The abundance of E. excavatum alba suggests a Holocene age. The stratigraphic position and foraminiferal number suggests a middle Sangamon age. Thus I think this fauna represents a mix and should not be used for age interpretations.
