Sample: Sample No. 91Tr24A.1 -- USGS No. 31842-PC
Locality: Field No. 91Tr24A.1
Description: Howard Pass C-3. Lat. 68o 35.7' N., Long. 157o 30' W. Talus blocks <1 m in size of very fine grained, medium-yellowish-gray to grayish-yellow, massive carbonate rock. Stratigraphic position within unit uncertain. Thin section is brecciated dolostone containing skeletal fragments. Origianl texture probably a sparsely skeletal mudstone-wackestone. Bioclasts (5-25 percent of the sample) are crinoid ossicles and possible brachiopod and bryozoan fragments; minor detrital quartz. Heavy-mineral concentrate includes rare phosphatic brachiopod fragments. (description from Dover et al., 2004, p. 34 (Table 1)); [Howard Pass C-3 quad. 69°35.98', 157°30.15'. Submitted as Baird Group, talus blocks < than 1 m in size. Very fine-grained, medium-yellowish-gray to grayish-yellow, massive limestone. Stratigraphic position in stack not known. Thin section indicates brecciated dolostone containing skeletal fragments. Original texture appears to have been a skeletal mudstone/-wackestone. Skeletal elements make up 5-25 percent of the sample and are crinoid ossicles and possible brachiopod and bryozoan fragments: minor detrital quartz.
Stack on bed in Cutaway Creek near lake in northeast basin east of base of stack. (description from Harris E&R report dated Sept. 17, 1993; Shipment no. A-93-11)]

Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1993 (09/17)
This report is long (1.5 years) overdue, but I have been exceedingly busy writing papers, responding to reviewers and editors comments and preparing talks. I am finally returning to a partial E&R mode and your collections were at the top of the list.
