Description: Howard Pass C-3. North-south traverse through section of unit Mlb: 68o 30.6' N., 157o 32.45' W. (base, 47A) to 68o 30.5' N., 157o 32.45' W. (top, 47F). Interlayered black chert and carbonate containing some fossil fragments. Thin section is dolostone (crystals 0.1-1.0 mm) with little relict texture. (description from Dover et al., 2004, p. 40 (Table 1)); [Howard Pass C-3 quad. 68°30.60', 157°32.45'. Lisburne Group (Brooks Range allochthon); interlayers black chert carbonate containing some fossil fragments. Thin section is dolostone containing crystals 0.1-1.0 mm and little relict texture.
