M6254. This report covers a small collection of clams belonging to the genus Corbicula(?) found 50 ft below the contact with a sandstone unit on Augustine Island. This form occurs with Buchia concentrica and Buchia rugosa of Oxfordian to Kimmeridgian age, and probably is a brackish water species. |
