Location: Alaska Quadrangle: Craig B-4

Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1970 (04/22)
Report by: J. Thomas Dutro , Jr.
Referred by: A. Thomas Ovenshine
Age: Late Devonian (Late Devonian, probably Famennian)
Comment:This collection consists almost entirely of a coquina of molds and casts of Cyrtospirifer shells. There are, in addition, some indeterminate fragments of pelecypods and indeterminate steinkerns of small, low-spired gastropods. A few molds of subquadrate, smooth brachiopods may be athyrids but they are too poorly preserved for identification. The age is surely Late Devonian and, in the absence of any atrypids, I suggest that it is probably a Famennian correlative.
