Comment:The fossils from locality 69ABg98F on Gravin Island are of no valid for a close age determination. Most of the large pelecypods appear to belong to Entolium, as you stated, but the presence of that genus merely shows that the beds are of Mesozoic age. Tow of the pelecypods have radial ornamentation suggestive of Camptonecties. The belemnites are too poorly preserved to be of any age value. Mackenzie Gordon says that similar appearing fragments occur in beds as old as Permian.
