| Comment: | Although these shell fragments are not well enough to positively identify them as Monotis, their general size, ribbing, and concentric ornamentation are identifical to those of Monotis species such M. subcircularis. Both M. subcircularis and M. salinaria are well represented in previous collections from this slice of McCarthy Formation. The specimens are being returned to you, as requested. |
