1 Bivalves Aucella with high, thin, widely spaced ribs Aucella is now placed in genus Buchia. Imlay states that this species is similar to A. rugosa (Fischer) from the Late Jurassic (Kimmeridgian), but he did not see any trace of the fine radial lines that are characteristic of that species. The only similar Aucella in the Early Cretaceous is A. okensis Pavlow from the Berrisian, but its ribs are generally rounder than the ribs in the Alaskan specimens.
