Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1962 (08/ )
Report by: Dwight W. Taylor
Referred by: David M. Hopkins , D. S. McCulloch
Age: Pleistocene-Recent
Comment:All of the fossils represent species living in Alaska, but not enough is known about details of geographic distribution to say whether local shifts in range have taken place. There are no clear stratigraphic changes in faunal composition, althought the relatively large assemblage from locality 23172 may represent a richer fauna than now lives in the same area. So far as present information goes, none of the collections can be differentiated from the living fauna or placed in a sequence of ecologic changes.
