Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1985 (06/14)
Report by: J. Thomas Dutro , Jr.
Referred by: Susan M. Karl , Julie A. Dumoulin , Jeanine Schmidt , Inyo Ellersieck
Age: Cambrian-Ordovician (Cambrian - Ordovician, probably Late Cambrian)
Formation: Baird Group
Comment:4.4 kg of rock was processed (46 g of +20 mesh and 128 g of 20-200 mesh insoluble residue): NO CONODONTS WERE RECOVERED, but the heavy-mineral concentrate yielded: 1 pedicle valve of ANGULOTRETA? sp.

This acrotretid morphotype is characteristic of the Cambrian and Ordovician. ANGULOTRETA is restricted to the Upper Cambrian. This collection of the one pedicle valve of an acrotretid brachiopod of possible Late Cambrian age is of the same probable age as field no. 84SK223A, from 3.8 km southwest that also produced only one pedicle valve of an acrotretid.

Age: Cambrian-Ordovician, probably Late Cambrian.
