Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1973 (02/23)
This collection is from the same sequence as collection shipped earlier (July, 1968) from the Reindeer Hills. These are a sequence of argillites, cherts and limestones. Generally Mesozoic, Jurassic-Cretaceous, overlain by Cantwell Fm, Cretaceous system. -- Samples were dissolved in acetic acid and the insoluble residues examined for conodonts.

Age: Silurian-Devonian
Comment:Panderodus sp. (8 specimens). Referring to the composite fauna found in samples 68AMr163A-G: Panderodus ranges from Ordovician to Devonian and S. exiguus was described from the Emsian of Australia. This identification is exceedingly questionable since it is based on a single broken specimen. A Silurian or Devonian age for these rocks is indicated and a Devonian age is suggested.

Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1972 (11/28)
The identified material is being retained for our reference collections. Samples of each collection will be etched for conodonts and another report will forllow if any are found. Additional parts of collections will be discard after this work is done unless you instruct us otherwise.

Age: Silurian-Devonian
Comment:All 7 collections are Silurian or Devonian in age but none of the identified forms are well-enough known to narrow down this range. There is a variety of forms represented in several of the collections and if taken together, this would suggest a Devonian age is more likely than Silurian.

Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1972 (03/20)
Most of the rock slabs in this shipment contain fragments of digitate tabulate thmonoporoid corals that have been turned over to W.A. Oliver, Jr. for examination.

Age: Middle Devonian-Frasnian (possibly Middle Devonian - or Frasnian)
Comment:Four of the collections in this shipment (68AMr-163B, 163E, 163F, 163G) contain poorly preserved, slightly metamorphosed brachiopods. These appear to be a smooth short-hinged spiriferoid that may be Warrenella or some closely related reticulariacean. Unfortunately, the finer morphologic details have been obliterated. The age is possibly Middle or early Late Devonian.
