Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1961 (11/06)
This report concerns 10 collections of trilobites and other fossils, mostly from Cambrian rocks. The 9 Cambrian collections will be dealt with in groups related to the collection localities in the vicinity of Chief Mtn. and Crow triangulation station. The one Devonian collection is only briefly mentioned as it contains an ostracod fauna that should be more definitive than the trilobites and has been turned over to Jean Berdan for further comment.
Report by: A. R. Palmer
Referred by: Earl E. Brabb
Age: Late Cambrian (Late Cambrian (probably no older than upper part of the Franconian stage)
Comment:The remaining four collections (61ABa1396, 61AMc74, 61AMc51, and 61ABa1341), while indicating a Late Cambrian age do not contain sufficiently diagnostic forms for me to be certain where they fall with relation to the North American states, except that none of them seem to be as old as faunas of Dresbach age.

This collection contains an indeterminate olenid most resembling some forms assigned to Leptoplastus, and an indeterminate apatokephalid. The presence of the apatokephalid indicates a position towards the top of the Cambrian, probably no older than the upper part of the Franconian stage.
