Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
The fossil shells are the first Pleistocene shells collected from St. Lawrence Island; I hope that the fauna will be large enough to permit correlation with marine sequence at Nome.

The Recent shells are of interest to the collector, Mr. Colinvaux, and so species lists for these would be appreciated.

Collector(s) & year(s): Paul Colinvaux, 1960
