This report deals with two collections from the western Arctic Coastal Plain of Alaska; one collection from the Gubik Formation and one from the Flaxman Formation.

77-AHp-16A (Cenozoic loc. M7337) , Barrow , Fossils from 5-m-high bluff of shelly Gubik Formation sand adjoining outcrop of Flaxman Formation; this exposure is about 2 km east of Cape Simpson DEW Line site and consists of a beach sand deposit that lies seaward of the main Pelukian (Sangamon) shoreline; this Gubik deposit may mark the shoreling that existed when the glaciomarine Flaxman Formation was being deposited. 77-AHp-211A (Cenozoic loc. M7338) , Barrow , Bedded silts and fine sand containing mollusks and glacial dropstones, in 5-m-high coastal bluff about 1 km east of Cape Simpson DEW Line site. This collection contains the only known mollusks from the glaciomarine Flaxman Formation. Latitude 71 deg. 01 min. 34.5 sec. N; Longitude 154 deg. 37 min 24 sec. W., Barrow (A-1) Quadrangle.
