49ARe27(F) , Craig , 0.3 mi. north along shore from locality 49-A-E107f)(F) above, E. shore Tuxekan Island. Lithology: Bedded limestone (beds 3'-4' thick). More massive than E107f(F) but still locally argillaceous. Position: Approximately 300' stratigraphically below E107f(F). [from Transmittal sheet] SEE NOTES BELOW!

49AE107f(F) , Craig , W. shore of bay 5.5 mi. N.E. from southern tip of Tuxekan Island on E shore of island. Locality is 1000' from head of cove on N.W. shore. Lithology: Well bedded impure argillaceous and arenaceous limestone. Position: Close to base of this unit but actual base is obscured by faults of unknown magnitude. 49AE105c(F) , Craig , E shore of Tuxekan Island, 1.7 mi. S 70 W of Staney Island (Equivalent to A.F.B.-Nat. Mus. Nos. 172 (2034). See USGS Bull. 800, pp. 92-94. Lithology: Well bedded argillaceous silty lms interbedded with med. gr. calc. graywacke ss. Collection from lms unit 10-15' thick. Position: 60' above contact of this unit with underlying massive limestone. Contact not exposed and is probably faulted - [taken from Eberlein's transmittal sheet]. 49AE97f(F) , Craig , S.W. shore of Tuxekan Is. North shore of small cove at village of Karheen. Lithology: collection from series of interbedded sandstones, calcareous silty shales, arenaceous and argillaceous limestones. Position: collection from within 10' of contact of above sediments with overlying massive limestone. [Note by RBB: all above data from Eberlein's transmittal sheet]
two or three species, all referable to one genus that resembles Pholidophyllum of the Upper Silurian of the Ural Mountains
49ARe16(F) , Craig , Small bay 1.9 mi. N.E. of southern tip of Tuxekan Is. on east shore. Locality is second small point south of head of the bay & on the E. shore. Lithology: Well bedded silty limestone. Position: Unit overlies green-black calcareous shales. Collection from within 15-20' of contact.
