Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
These collections are from the lowermost fossiliferous horizons in the upper member of the McCarthy Fm. and probably indicates Hettangian or Sinemurian ages. The two members of the McCarthy Fm. are transistional and their contact is difficult to map with consistency. The main use of the fossil determinations will be to document the lower age(s) of the upper member of the McCarthy Fm.
