Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
In mapping the southern part of the Healy A-2 quadrangle, we located a unit of essentially undeformed sediments in fault contact with metavolcanic rocks of the Amphitheater Group (thought to be of Middle and Upper Triassic age). The sediments include interbedded flows seemingly related to the Amphitheater group; but they also yield fossils (probably Buchia and some nautiloids) which may be considerably younger.
