The following scattered samples yielded only a few Forams but these could be identified only generically and hence no age determination could be made. The samples are 70A Rr 221, 258A, 258C, 271, and 399, all collected in the Sagavanirktok quadrangle.

70ARr 221, unit 3 , Sagavanirktok , At locality 70A Rr 221 on the west side of the Sadlerochit River, east end of the Sadlerochit Mountains, in secs. 10 and 11, T. 5 N., R. 31 E., a faulted section was sampled as follows: Kingak Shale (500 feet) was sampled as unit 3 but did not yield fossils. Above the Kingak a section of 135 feet of sandstone and shale was sampled as unit 5. Sample no. 1 from this unit is barren but a very limited fauna was found in sample no. 2 from the same unit. There are 2 specimens each of Haplophragmoides sp. and Verneuilinoides sp. which could offer nothing towards age determination. Still higher in the section at 221 was a sample collected as unit 8, no. 1, from a silt and shale interval overlying Sadlerochit ? sandstone and underlying Shublik beds, but it too is barren.
