Two collections from near Cape Fairweather, Alaska, are reported on as follows. These were stated to be closest in location, and presumably stratigraphically, to collections D223, D264, and D389.

Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
These fossils are from a newly found outcrop area of Tertiary rocks, correlated on lithology with the mudstone unit in the southeastern part of the Lituya district. This outcrop area probably represents a northwestward extension of the outlier of upper Tertiary rocks found previously at the southeastern margin of the Fairweather glacier, where the following lots were collected; USGS Cenozoic locality nos. D223(T), D264(T), and D389(T).

Approximate lat. 58 deg. 51.2’ N., long 137 deg. 53.7’ W.; Alaskan Branch coordinates (5.49, 15.29) on Mt. Fairweather quadrangle.
