Dominant lithology. Siltstone, black, calcareous, pyritic
Remarks. Locality is in a probable fenster in which the Paleozoic sequence is like that of the N.E. Brooks Range and unlike that of the Central Brooks Range rocks in the overlying thrust plate. The massive siltstone (73ABe343) at the top of the exposed Shublik resembles slightly the Karen Creek sandstone of the N.E. Brooks Range. Is it the same age as the Karen Creek?
