| Comment: | The fossils from the Naknek formation represent several different levels judging by collections obtained in former years. Collections 54AFy49B, 54 and 64 that contain many specimens of A. concentrica should be from a lower level than collections 54AGz110 and 54AFy43 and 79 that contain abundant A. rugosa associated with a few specimens of A. mosquensis. Collections 54AGz24A contains a Parallelodon identical with a species that is fairly common in the Naknek formations. Collections 54AGz38 and 46B are probably Naknek rather than Chinitna because Phylloceras and Pachyteuthis are very much more common in the Naknek. |
