Description: Howard Pass C-5. Lat. 68o 39'00" N., Long. 158o 51'20" W. Gray, translucent, thin-bedded chert that contains thin argillite partings. (description from Dover et al., 2004, p. 51 (Table 2)); [Formation: Pennsylvanian-Permian? or Triassic? -- not sure -- Triassic Otuk, or older Pennsylvanian-Permian chert. USGS Howard Pass 1:250,000 C5 quadrangle,T. 9 S., R. 30 W., sec. 23, north edge of ridge, approximately 1.5 mi east of Rampart Creek; measured from east tributary 4 mi from the confluence of Rampart and Jubilee Creeks.
