Comment: | The fossils submitted consist of Buchia sublaevis (Imlay, not Keyserling) of Early Cretaceous (Valanginian) age. They were obtained from a limy bed in an argillite sequence of unknown age. This species is common on the Arctic Slope of Alaska, in the Yukon Porcupine area, and in the Nabesna region (see Imlay's report to Don Richter, 1968). |
