Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1973 (01/26)
This report covers fossils from Augustine Island collected during the summer of 1972 by several different groups of geologists. Because all collected from nearly the same places, a joint report covering all the localities is being sent to each collector, rather than reporting separately on each lot. A map showing the position of each locality is included with this report [note by R.B. Blodgett - not present with E&R report in Ak. Technical Data E&R collections. It is should also be noted that the E&R was listed as being referred by "Detterman and others." These others included in P.S. comments as William Lyle, Robert Stotterd, 1972, as well as Robert L. Detterman]

Specimens returned.

Report by: David L. Jones
Referred by: Robert L. Detterman
Age: Late Jurassic
Formation:Naknek Formation (Revised; Robert B. Blodgett, 02/09/2008 )
Comment:The Upper Jurassic localities range in age from Oxfordian to probably Tithonian. The association of Buchias and Corbiculids indicates very shallow, marginal marine conditions with perhaps brackish water nearby.
