Age: Carnian-Norian (late Carnian - mid middle Norian)
Comment:Based on the occurrence of Halobia of the H. ornatissima-H. cordillierana kind, this collection is of late Karnian to mid middle Norian age. Also present are:
Atractites -- a coleoid or "belemnite"
bone fragments, and
a minute ammonite or low-spired gastropod -- indeterminate in either case.
This colection is older than any known North American occurrence of Heterastridium which is characteristic of the upper Norian.
