Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
Rock shows a few fragmentary bryozoa and/or corals on weathered surface. This rock unit is between rocks that are Permian-Triassic (Rampart Group) and section of rocks of uncertain age. Fossils, reidentified as Permian, have been found several miles northeast of this locality. Age dating of this rock unit will materially aid in correlating units between Tanana and Livengood quads.
