Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
These fossils came from a wedge of slightly metamorphosed sediments located between the Hines Creek and McKinley strands of the Denali Fault system. Tentatively identified as Silurian or Devonian. This section, on the south side of the Denali could correlate with fossils described as Devonian in Bull. 989-D by Moffit on the north side of the Denali about 80 miles east--could indicate lateral offset on the Denali.

What age are the fossils? Could both samples be of the same age? Do they resemble the fossils described as Devonian in 989-D?
