Stratigraphic range: Devonian and ?
Kinds of fossils: Corals
Quadrangle or area: De Long and Misheguk quads.
Shipment No.: A-73-4
Referred by: Tailleur, Irv L.
Report prepared by: Oliver, William A., Jr.
Date: 09/07/1973

This report covers corals in 6 collections submitted with covering dated 1/10/73. Four collections contain tabulate corals that are wide ranging in the Silurian-Devonian. One collection is almost certainly Middle Devonian (26575-3). One contains only a stromatoporoid head which is indeterminate but probably pre-Carboniferous.

One piece of rock was loose in the box and of unknown origin. Identifications from this piece are listed but presumably this data should be discarded unless the collection number can be recovered.

Numbered collections are being retained for our reference collection. The loose block will be discarded unless you request its return.

Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
According to Tailleur's transmittal sheet, these collections were made by Standard of Cal. and Mobil Oil Companies during 1972. "All six collections are from Kugururok Formation or Baird Group; 26575-3 may be from a sequence (Ipnavik) that originally lay 50 or so miles north of sequence (Mishiguk) represented by other collections.
