54AHr99 (4426-SD) , Lime Hills , About 20.1 miles S. 70 deg. E. of the confluence of the Swift and Kuskokwim Rivers. [Note by R.B. Blodgett, Transmittal sheet of J. Hoare includes map showing the location to be at VABM Steep in the Lime Hills D-8 quad., and additional information is provided: ".. about 46 miles N 16.5 W of Cairn Mtn. on top of an isolated hill whose elevation is given as 2100 feet on the map. Said hill is about 9 miles S 82 E of the confluence of the Swift River and its largest tributary (unnamed on map). ... The fossils ... occur in fairly massive, gray crystalline limestone dipping gently northward. Thickness of limestone is unknown but is probably several thousand feet. The limestone appears to overlie a thick section of volcanic and fine-grained siliceous rock.
