Report prepared by: Oliver, William A., Jr.
Date: 02/13/1961

Collection 60ATb 178 was previously reported on as probably Silurian (12-2-60). Study of new thin sections of the abundant Microplasma previously reported has shown the coral to be associated in the rock with the stromatoporoids Amphipora sp. and Idiostroma? sp. These two stromatoporoids are characteristic Middle or lower Upper Devonian genera and indicate that the collection is almost certainly Devonian rather than Silurian in age.
