The heavy- and light-mineral insoluble residues are being returned to you for your disposal.

Steve--Have just about finished processing samples 17-32 of your monster shipment and THREE of these have conodonts. Will write this batch up in about one week.

Report by: Anita G. Harris
Referred by: Steven W. Nelson , M. M. Hoare , M. W. Mullen
Age: Devonian-Triassic
Comment:500 g of limestone was processed for conodonts (21 g of +20 mesh material remained undissolved after acid treatment).

These morphotypes indicate a Devonian to Triassic age. Another collection of 4-5 kg from the same interval should provide sufficient conodonts for a better age determination.

The color alteration index is 3 indicating the host rock reached 120o -150o C., but could have been hotter for a very short period of geologic time.
