This report covers two collections from the Helpmejack Hills; neither has definitive, identifiable megafossils but both contain fossils that are suggestive of Devonian and Carboniferous units known elsewhere in the Brooks Range.

W.; Helpmejack Hills, 25 km west of confluence of Helpmejack Creek and Alatna River, in saddle between two knobs at elev. 2700 ft.; from N. Side of saddle about 3 m above low point in saddle; basalt tuff with clasts of limestone and chert. Collection: W.W. Patton, Jr., 1984.
bivalve fragments, ..., size and thickness suggest pieces of Pycinodesma shells
84APa103B , Hughes , Same locality as above, except from S. side of saddle about 40 m above low point in saddle; one meter thick slab of silicified limestone overlain and underlain by dark chert with possible radiolaria. Collector: W.W. Patton, Jr., 1984.
