This report deals with eight collections of megafossils from the Plio-Pleistocene Gubik Formation exposed along the shoreline of the Arctic coastal plain in northwestern Alaska.

78-AWL-213 (Cenozoic loc. M7308) , Wainwright , Exposure along stream cut into raised beach deposit; perhaps an offshore bar related to 29 m shoreline inland. Lies above and predates Sangamon? shoreline. Draw is 0.5 km from Kasegaluk Lagoon and midway between abandoned settlements of Kilamantavi and Mitliktavik. Latitude 70 deg. 26 min. 2.7 sec N; Longitude 160 deg 32 min 23.3 sec. W. T. 13 N., R. 34 W., NW-1/4 of SE-1/4 section 36, Warnwright (B-3) quadrangle. Specimens from float.

78-AWL-267 (Cenozoic loc. M7311) , Meade River , Fossiliferous sand and clay about two feet above river level, and very close to bedrock, along east bank of Kucheak Creek about 11 km above confluence with Inaru River, in an overgrown sand bank. Probably represents basal part of Gubik.
