The request for a comparison of the faunas from 58ALy195a and the "large brachiopods" of 57ADu69, is difficult to fulfill. In the first place, the two assemblages are quite different, perhaps reflecting different environments since the rock types of the two collections are quite unlike. 57ADu69 is from a bioclastic pelletal limestone with many large brachiopods of which the more abundant are Spiriferella and Stenocisma. On the other hand, 58ALy195a is from a silicified, silty limestone with the brachiopod shells in layers or bands. The common elements of the latter collection, Anidanthus and the new strophomenoid brachiopod, are not found at the other locality. In terms of internal evidence of the faunules, both are clearly Permian; they could be approximately the same age. Based on ranges of genera elsewhere, I would say that 58ALy195a is a bit older than 57ADu69. However, there is nothing definite in the way of direct correlations to back up this statement. The faunal lists are given below. Each collection has two forms that are extremely abundant in number of shells. These are marked with an asterisk.

, Transmittal sheets of R.A. Loney, dated 11/6/58 give following description: Limestone, med. gray, beds 1'-3', homogeneous med. grained on fresh surface, but weathers reddish brown with a granular surface having thin layers of different resistance. Some layers small brachiopods. At or near top of Permian unless section overturned. If possible it is important to know age relationship to larger Permian brachiopods. Coords: 8.12, 6.88.
